Gareth trained at Castle College for three years obtaining a professional chef's diploma. Working with Mick Burke, he competed in the Maurice Des Omibaux gaining a silver medal.
Gareth moved to Vancouver, Canada to further his experience at Cioppinas Med Grill.
Gareth returned to Sheffield to take up the position of chef de partie at Rafters Restaurant before becoming sous chef.
