Michael also trained at Sheffield’s Granville College (now Castle College) and undertook his professional training at the Savoy Hotel in London.
Michael then became Sous Chef at the Capital Hotel in Knightsbridge and then moved onto The Tollbooth, in Colchester. Michael then spent five years working as a Chef for a private family in New York, before returning back to Sheffield to Rafters Restaurant in 2002.
