A Warm Welcome to Rafters Restaurant

A strong local fan club proclaims Marcus Lane`s `special` cooking - at his intimate and brightly-decorated modern venture - simply a gastronomic delight.

Established in 1994, and taken over by Chef Marcus Lane in 2001, Rafters Restaurant has long been regarded as one of Sheffield's finest restaurants.

Rafters Restaurant has been awarded two AA Rosettes for the third year running, and also has entries in The Good Food Guide, Harden's Restaurant Guide and the Michelin Guide. Rafters Restaurant was also voted the Yorkshire Post Restaurant of the Year 2003-2004.

Situated in a leafy, well regarded suburb of Sheffield, yet only 10 minutes from the City Centre, the area around Rafters Restaurant affords plenty of off-street parking.

The Restaurant itself is on the first floor, up a short flight of steps. The traditional oak beams that give the Restaurant its name frame hand-blown glass lighting from Milan against exposed brickwork and sumptuous furnishings. All this combines to create an intimate, elegant and refined setting, with a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Soft background music sets the scene and, for the comfort of all our guests, smoking is not permitted. You will be welcomed by a friendly and professional Team, waiting to provide you with the very best in service at all times.
